![]() ![]() Brescia, Il Camouflage delle navi italiane 1940-1945, Ed. There is a great booklet on the subject: E. The red and white stripes on the forecastle were discontinued altogether (in any case they were painted on most ships only between the end of 19, and began to be cancelled in 1943).ģ) Dazzled camos came in two phases, an experimental one (the "Claudus" type - like the one you gave the Montecuccoli, the "spina di pesce" of the Aosta, etc.), and a generalised phase, with mainly two color, semigeometric patterns (Gorizia, Bande Nere, etc. The RGB value I used for these skins is 168, 151, 151 (the real color would have been 190, 212, 212, but it needed to be darker for use in WoWS).Ģ) After 1943, ships of the Regia Marina mostly adopted the dark grey hull (RGB 57,64,64, which will need to be darkened in WoWS) typical of Allied navies of the period, while retaining the "grigio cinerino chiaro" for the superstructure. I made some very crude skins myself, because I found the WoWS skyblue rather disturbing: Much less blue that the "grigio azzurro chiaro" of stock WoWS ships (or of the "Grigio azzurro" clean camo), but somewhat lighter and a hint less greenish than the grey you used for the standard camos (Type 1/2 Type 6) of Italian ships. That said, I'd like to suggest a couple of edits/comments.ġ) The usual non-camouflaged color for Italian warships from 1927 to 1943 was a very pale bluish grey called officially "grigio cinerino chiaro", which has been retained until today. Second: I am Italian, and fascinated by WWII ships since I was a boy (and that was unluckily in the Sixties.) - so I can be a pain in the arse when coming to Italian ships and their details. First thing first: I know nothing about modding - so bear with me if I ask/say stupid things -) ![]()
